Jack Draper and Alex De Minaur are in the US Open quarterfinals. The two have a good chance to reach the semis and chase the biggest success in their pro careers.

Draper has been outstanding in New York, and that’s why he reached this stage in the first place. Nobody expected this 22-year-old to beat all his rivals in straight sets, not allowing them the slightest chance of putting up some resistance.
We have to admit, Draper’s rivals at Flushing haven’t been that strong. In the first round, he defeated Zhang, then Diaz Acosta, Van De Zandschlup, and eventually Machac. So, all in all, his side of the draw was pretty favorable.
The same goes for De Minaur, whose rivals were mediocre. However, unlike Draper, the Aussie had just one match in which he didn’t lose a set. It was in the second round against Virtanen. The other three events all saw him beating the opponents with the same result, 3-1.
Giron was in the first round, Daniel Evans in the third and Jordan Thompson in the most recent contest. He had only 53% of the first serve with 31 winners and 26 unforced errors.
Jack Draper vs. Alex De Minaur Head to Head
De Minaur won all three previous contests against Draper. The first was in 2022 at Wimbledon, 3-1, then one year later in Tokyo, 2-1, and the most recent in March this year in Acapulco, when Draper retired from the event with 1-1 in sets and 4-0 for De Minaur. The last two meetings were on the hard surface.

Draper is on the rise here, but De Minaur also plays excellent tennis. Like in the previous previews, we won’t be too clever but pick over 3.5 sets because it is the best bet for this event. In all of the previous head to head encounters both guys won sets, so why stop now.
