Two huge news came in from the UFC. Israel Adesanya will face Yoel Romero in the title match at the UFC 248, and also the headliner of UFC London is set to be between Leon Edwards and Tyron Woodley.

Adesanya and Romero Get Down On It

Although there weren’t any contracts signed, the bout between these two guys is definitely going to headline the UFC 248. This event will take place on March 7 in Las Vegas, and it was planned a bit differently from the way it turned out to be now.

The first option for Adesanya’s rival was Paulo Costa, but the Brazilian underwent a left biceps surgery this October and still hasn’t recovered property. Costa, who is undefeated after his 13 MMA fights, defeated Romero via unanimous decision past August at the UFC 241.

However, the Cuban (13-4) jumped in to replace his rival and will try to shut down all his critics who are saying that his peak is way past. With 42 years of age, Romero is one of the oldest fighters in the organization, and it really is noticeable that his results are going down. In the last three matches, he won only once losing three contests, each time via decision.

Adesanya (18-0) is the rising superstar, and the guy with the potential to become the best ever fighter in the UFC. The way he handles all of his opponents is impressive and 18 wins without a single loss only increase the amount of respect this guy receives from the fans. He knocked out Robert Whittaker to unify the middleweight title, and previously beat Kelvin Gastelum via unanimous decision.

Apart from this fight, several others at UFC 248 will be very interesting. Weili Zhang is meeting Joanna Jedrzejczyk in the strawweight title bout, while Whittaker and Jared Cannonier are facing one another in a co-main event. It is very likely that the winner of this match enters the octagon along with either Adesanya or Costa once he recovers.

UFC London to See Edwards and Woodley

The headliner of UFC London brings Leon Edwards and Tyron Woodly, and this spectacle promises to be very interesting. The long-awaited clash of two guys who don’t like one another is set for the 21st March.

Edwards (18-3) is in the top echelon of welterweight fighters but still hasn’t got a chance to fight for the belt. On the other side, Woodley (19-4-1) was the champions who had four successful defenses up until this March once he lost to Kamaru Usman.

After that, the federation didn’t organize a rematch, but instead, Usman fought Covington, while Woodley stayed on the sidelines. It is interesting that Edwards also recorded his last defeat against Usman in 2015, and from that moment on, the Brit recorded eight straight wins.

This is the perfect chance for both to earn their ticket for the clash with the current champion. Edwards to finally prove that he deserves a shot at the title, while Woodley to go back and reclaims his throne.
