United’s Inconsistency

We’re not quite sure what is the matter with the Red Devils, who aren’t capable of putting together a few games playing at a high level. Their players amaze us one day, and disappoint the next, with their oscillations being the only constant thing in their performances.

After beating PSG on the road, 1-2 in the UEFA Champions League’s opening round, they would play 0-0 at home against Chelsea, in a match that they deserved to lose. To be honest, Maguire’s reckless challenge was a foul. Voices suggesting that Solskjaer is, in fact, the main reason for all this are getting louder and louder,

Following seven matches that ended with over 2.5 goals, the one against the Blues was the first that didn’t. It was also the first in which United didn’t score.

Bulls’ Superb Start

Julian Nagelsmann and his guys are enjoying an excellent start of the new season. RB Leipzig posted six wins and a draw in the last six weeks, not scoring two or more goals in just one match – against Bayer Leverkusen on the road, 1-1.

RB allowed just three goals in those seven games, while on the other side netting 17, shutting down all those doubters who predicted Leipzig’s fall after Timo Werner’s departure to Stamford Bridge. It appears that the German team has enough quality replacements in its backyard and that they didn’t sell Werner without securing themselves properly.

Four of the previous five matches RB played saw 2 or 3 goals, which is a moderate efficiency. They don’t have the mentality to chase as many scores as possible to score, but instead decrease the tempo when having a lead.

Head to Head Matches

There aren’t any games recorded between these sides, as Leipzig only recently appeared on the international stage.

Prediction

As we said, this is going to be a very strong battle, probably with both coaches deciding to have a conservative approach, especially in the first half. Nobody would want to concede an early goal, especially against a team that is excellent when defending.

Due to this, we have two options here. The first is to bet on a draw at halftime. We are aiming at a goalless opening 45 minutes, but just in case, this suggestion would be a draw. The odds here are +125.

The second pick is moderate efficiency, with two, maximum three goals taking place at Trafford on Wednesday night. Odds for this pick currently sit at +105.
