The big game in the Premier League this weekend will see Chelsea look to end their four-game winless run when they travel to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Spurs will be looking for another win, as they bid to open up a five-point advantage over Newcastle in the top-four race.

Before Betting On Tottenham vs Chelsea

Spurs vs Chelsea is often a clash that leaps up off the page, as the two sides are great rivals, and they often deliver exciting fixtures. However, it would be hard to see this weekend’s fixture being a goal-riddled affair, as both sides have stuttered in the final third over the past months of the season. That has been a huge problem for Graham Potter’s Chelsea, as they are the lowest-scorers in the top half, and have scored just 23 this season.

They come into this fixture without a win in four, while last weekend’s 1-0 home defeat against Southampton was a new low. Chelsea has now scored just six goals in their last eleven Premier League fixtures, while no side in the top-flight has scored fewer than the Blues side the start of November.

Tottenham will be confident coming into the fixture this weekend, as they moved into the Champions League spots last weekend with a very comfortable 2-0 home win over West Ham United. Spurs have now picked up victories in each of their last two home matches, which also includes a 1-0 success against Manchester City.

However, the head-to-head record doesn’t make for pleasant reading for Spurs, as they have gone eight without a victory against Chelsea in the league. Meanwhile, Chelsea has claimed three straight wins away from home against Tottenham, meaning Spurs have never tasted victory over the Blues at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

This should be a tight fixture between the two London rivals this weekend, with both battling for points at a crucial stage of the season. However, we could see Tottenham making their home advantage count this weekend, as we could see them grabbing a 1-0 win to pile more pressure on Potter.
