The hottest offense in the NFL will take on one of the top defenses in the league in what should be a thrilling matchup on Thursday Night Football. The Dallas Cowboys will host Drew Brees and the New Orleans Saints in what has the potential to be a playoff preview. Both the Cowboys and Saints currently lead their respective divisions.

The Saints have been the hottest team in the NFL after losing their first game of the season. New Orleans have rattled off ten straight victories and are tied for the best record in the NFL at 10-1. Dallas has won three straight games to get back over the .500 mark with a 6-5 record. The Cowboys are in a first-place tie in the NFC East with the Washington Redskins. The Saints are a 7.5 point favorite in this game.

Brees Finding His Weapons

Saints quarterback Drew Brees has been throwing the ball a ton this season, and is getting the ball to his receivers at a historic rate. Brees has completed over 76 percent of his passes this season while throwing 29 touchdowns and just two interceptions this season. Wide receiver Michael Thomas has caught 86 passes for 1,080 yards this season and is averaging over 12 yards per reception. No one has been able to slow down the Saints passing attack this season.

Defensively, the Saints have been improving as the season has gone on, and they were terrific on Thanksgiving Day. New Orleans has the number one rushing defense in the NFL, allowing just 73.2 rushing yards per game. The Saints will be in for a tough test against Ezekiel Elliott and the Dallas running attack on Thursday night. If the Saints can keep the Cowboys under 30 points, their offense should do the rest.

Cowboys Defense One of League’s Best

The Dallas Cowboys defense might be the only team that can slow down the Saints. The Cowboys have allowed just 19.4 points per game this season, and they have put together some terrific games. Dallas has racked up 31 sacks this season, with DeMarcus Lawrence leading the team with 8.5 of them. The Cowboys need to find a way to get pressure on Brees if they want to win this game.

Dallas struggled in the first half of the season on offense, but they are starting to turn it around of late. The Cowboys have been feeding running back Ezekiel Elliott, and he has been rewarding them with terrific play. Elliott is averaging nearly five yards per carry this season and has racked up 1,074 yards on the ground. The passing attack has gotten better with the addition of receiver Amari Cooper. Dallas must score points to keep up with the Saints in this game.

Saints Blow Out Cowboys

The Dallas Cowboys have been flying high of late, but that will all come crashing down in this game. The Cowboys have been playing terrific defense this season, but they haven’t seen a team like the Saints. Look for Drew Brees and the Saints offense to put on another show on Thursday night. New Orleans looks like the best team in the NFL, and they will prove their worth in this game. Bet the Saints -7.5 over the Dallas Cowboys.
