The Auburn Tigers (16-3) have shuffled their lineup around recently due to injuries, but it seems to be working as they have rattled off five straight wins ahead of Wednesday night’s meeting with Texas A&M (13-6). Tennessee, Auburn, and Texas A&M all have one conference loss as they look up at undefeated Alabama, so this contest is incredibly important for both the Aggies and Tigers.

Before Betting on Texas A&M vs Auburn

Texas A&M just had a 7-game win streak snapped and suffered their first conference loss of the season in Saturday’s 76-67 defeat at Kentucky as +5 point underdogs. Getting 22 points from Tyrece Radford wasn’t enough to get the win nor was holding reigning Player of the Year Oscar Tschiebwe to only 7 points on 3-5 shooting.

The loss to UK was a rare defensive breakdown for Texas A&M, who had held opponents to 56 points or less in four of seven during their win streak. The Aggies are just 69th in the country in adjusted defensive efficiency, so may their strong play on that end of the court lately was more of an outlier than the norm.

Auburn is rolling right now and putting up some solid stats, but their last four wins have also come against the four worst teams in the SEC in Mississippi, LSU, Mississippi State, and South Carolina who all have just one conference win each.

Texas A&M vs Auburn Prediction & Pick

Many people will be riding the fact that Auburn gets a boost in competition here as a reason to take Texas A&M plus the points. The Aggies defense has looked good recently, but overall their efficiency numbers just don’t line up with the Tigers, who are in the top 15. Throw in Auburn being 10-0 at home this season and this one looks to go their way by the points margin.

Pick: Auburn -4.5
