SugarHouse Casino Philadelphia has launched a $5 million BetRivers Sportsbook to replace the temporary sports betting lounge it launched last year.

The new state-of-the-art sportsbook is three times the size of the previous sports betting lounge. It occupies an area of 5700 square feet on the space initially occupied by the Lucky Red Bar. The venue is fully-equipped with a viewing area that is tastefully furnished with club chairs and table seating for up to 115 patrons.

The refurbished BetRivers Sportsbook features 22 self-service wagering kiosks, six betting windows, and food and beverage services with text-to-order menus.

During the official opening of the book on Tuesday, SugarHouse Casino general manager Rob Long described BetRivers as “a must-see venue” for all passionate fans of the Philadelphia Flyers and 76ers. The casino has an official sports betting partnership with the Flyers and the Wells Fargo Center.

Opening Hours

Those who do not make it to the Flyers’ games can watch their contests as well as dozens of other competitions at the revamped BetRivers Sportsbook. The lounge has a giant 56.5 foot by 10.5 foot LED central monitor that can show multiple games at once. It is further complemented by eight 80-inch HD TVs.

The book will open Monday through Sunday, and patrons must be at least 21 years old to place sports bets at the venue.

The hours of operation are as follows:
Sunday – 9 am until midnight
Monday to Thursday – 10 am until midnight
Friday – 9 am until 2 am
Saturday – 9 am until 2 am

SugarHouse to Rebrand to Rivers Casino Philadelphia

The debut of the BetRivers Sportsbook at SugarHouse marks the beginning of the casino’s transition to Rivers Casino Philadelphia as part of a rebranding strategy.

In July, SugarHouse’s parent company, Rush Street Gaming, announced plans to rebrand the facility to Rivers in a bid to unify and streamline its corporate brand. Apart from SugarHouse Casino, the company owns and operates Rivers Pittsburgh in Pennsylvania, Rivers Schenectady in New York, and Rivers Casino Des Plaines in Illinois.

The complete transformation of SugarHouse PA is set to take place over several months, and the project will cost an estimated $15 million. The transition includes rebranding the PlaySugarHouse.com online casino and sports betting platform to BetRivers.com.

Both brands are operated by Rush Street Interactive, a subsidiary of Rush Street Gaming LLC.

About SugarHouse’s Multi-year Deal with Wells Fargo and Flyers

Early last month, the Wells Fargo Center announced that it had signed a multi-year partnership deal with the Philadelphia-based SugarHouse Casino and PlaySugarHouse.com. The agreement makes the casino an official sportsbook partner of the Wells Fargo Center and the NHL’s Philadelphia Flyers.

The 19,500-capacity sports arena is the home of the Flyers as well as the NBA’s Philadelphia 76ers.

The deal gives Rush Street exclusive rights to operate two retail sportsbooks inside the arena. The facilities began operating last week under the BetRivers Sportsbook and Rivers Casino Philadelphia Sports Lounge brands.

The lounges feature nearly 100 TV screens where fans can watch several live games across different sports and place live bets from their mobile devices.
