The Lakers dug themselves a hole with a 2-10 start to the season, but they’re starting to make the slow climb back up the Western Conference ladder. With five wins in their last six games Los Angeles has gotten to 7-11, a mark they hope to add on to when the Indiana Pacers (11-8) visit on Monday night.

Before Betting on Pacers vs Lakers

Indiana put together a nice 5-game winning streak recently, but some people question the legitimacy of that with the victories coming against Orlando (twice), Houston, and Charlotte – three of the worst teams in the league. The Pacers have dropped two of three since that run, including a 114-100 loss to the Clippers on Sunday putting them on the back to back for the meeting with the Lakers.

If you take the quality of opponents into account for Indiana’s recent win streak – you have to do the same for the Lakers. L.A.’s last three wins have all come against the 6-15 Spurs, and before that they beat 5-17 Detroit.

Either way wins build momentum no matter who you play, and the Lakers are also relatively healthy with Lebron James back from a groin injury that cost him five games. Patrick Beverley will miss this game as he was suspended for his shove against Phoenix last week, but Anthony Davis should be back after sitting out Saturday for precautionary reasons.

Pacers vs Lakers Prediction & Pick

This really is a toss-up game, as both teams have put together decent records lately but also against very bad teams. Indiana is .500 on the road (4-4) while the Lakers are 5-5 at home. The Lakers have been more efficient on defense, but the Pacers have run the more efficient offense overall this year. In a toss-up you have to take the points.
