Cleveland Browns are heading to Jacksonville to face the Jags, in what might be one of the toughest games for them this year. Everyone already declared the guests as winners here, as Jags sit last in league with a 1-9 record. Now, that puts additional pressure on Kevin Stefanski’s boys, who need to win this one and keep the playoff pace. The Browns are aware that if the Ravens lose in Pittsburgh, and they win here, it would be a massive step towards the postseason.

Very Important Game For the Browns

It is hard to understand for some, but we said it before. A win here eases up the situation for the Browns enormously, especially if Baltimore suffers a defeat against the Steelers. Cleveland will meet the Titans and the Ravens in the next two rounds, and with a triumph here, they would enter those clashes without pressure.

Mayfield and the boys won three of the past four and are coming off a win against the Philadelphia Eagles last week. Mayfield didn’t have some notable performance here, having 12 completions in 22 attempts, without any interceptions or touchdown passes. However, he did fumble the ball twice.

But that is no problem, as long as they have a Chubb-Hunt rushing duo. This time, Nick Chubb moved the chains with 114 yards on 20 carries, while Hunt added one TD. Sione Takitaki needs to be mentioned, as the linebacker intercepted Wentz and returned that pick for a 50-yard touchdown.

Jags Felt Steelers’ Power

Following two solid games and close losses, against the Green Bay Packers and fired up Houston Texans, the Jags stumbled upon the undefeated Pittsburgh Steelers last week. And they didn’t have a pleasant experience, at all. The AFC leaders won this clash 27-3, annihilating the hosts in every possible way.

Poor Jake Luton was seeing ghosts, as Sam Darnold would say, and he ended the match with 151 yards, two suffered sacks, one fumble, and four sacks. Over the past two games, Luton had a little more yards combined than in his first start against the Texans, but truth to be told, we can’t criticize him too much for this last performance. He is a backup QB in one of the worst teams in the league, and was up against the best D in the NFL.

Again, the only one who created the running game was James Robinson, with 73 yards on 17 snaps. It is as if the Jags’ don’t want to have more rushers involved.

Browns vs. Jaguars Head to Head Matches

The Jags and the Browns played in 2017, and Jacksonville won that match, 19-7.

Browns vs. Jaguars Pick

The spread the Browns need to cover is seven points. Even though Jacksonville recently showed some signs of life, especially in defense, the guests will manage to eclipse this margin. We expect Mayfield to step up here, after a series of not so shinny matches, and to give some support to Chub and Hunt, who are relentless each time they step on the field.
