We are one week into the 2017-2018 NCAA College Basketball season and we have already seen some great games over the first week of college hoops.  The top 10 in the NCAA has payed off well for bettors this year to start the season in lined games. There is a great value this time of year playing some of these top level teams, as we will show you in the top 10!

The Duke Blue Devils have started out the season 4-0 SU and 2-0 ATS.  They are the #1 team in the nation in both the AP Top 25 and the Coaches Poll.  They have played both of their lined games over the posted total this year against Michigan State 88-81 and Elon 97-68.  The Blue Devils are getting great play from Grayson Allen, who is averaging 21.8 points per game.  On Tuesday Night Allen and the Blue Devils faced off with Michigan State and Allen ended up having a very good night, playing 40 minutes and going 11-20 for 37 points.  Allen was 7 for 11 beyond the arch at the three point line and was 8 for 8 from the free throw line.   Duke is the favorite to win the National Title at MyBookie.

The Michigan State Spartans are sitting in the #2 spot in both the AP Top 25 and the Coaches Poll.  That should change this week as the Spartans lost in the State Farm Champions Classic to the #1 Duke Blue Devils. The Spartans are now 1-1 SU and ATS.  The Spartans have one of the tougher schedules to start out the season, as they will play Notre Dame in two weeks, which will make 2 top 15 teams in 3 weeks.

The Arizona Wildcats are the #3 team in the nation in the AP Top 25 and are #5 in the Coaches Poll.  They have started out the season by going 3-0 SU and 1-1-1 ATS.  They have wins over Northern Arizona 101-67, Maryland-Baltimore County 103-78 and Cal State-Bakersfield 91-59. The Wildcats wins have been over much lighter competition but they will get their first real step up in competition on Wednesday as they face NC State.

The Kansas Jayhawks are 3-0 SU and 2-1 ATS. They are ranked #4 in the AP and #3 in the Coaches Poll.  The Jayhawks faced off with Kentucky in the State Farms Champions Classic and came away with the 65-61 victory in the game.  The Jayhawks also have wins this year over softer teams such as Tennessee State and South Dakota State. The Jayhawks have a very easy schedule for the rest of this year, and they do not face a single team ranked in the top 25 for the remainder of 2017.

The Villanova Wildcats have started out the year as the #5 team in the AP and #6 in the Coaches Poll.  They are 3-0 SU and 2-1 ATS so far this year.  They have 3 wins over very soft early season scheduled opponents, Columbia 75-60, Nicholls State 113-77 and Lafayette 104-57.  The Wildcats will get a slight jump in the level of competition coming up when they face St. Joes and Gonzaga on back to back games to start December, as well as take on Temple the following week!

The Wichita State Shockers have one of the best all around teams on the court this year and come in ranked #6 in the AP and #8 in the Coaches Poll.  They are only 2-0 SU and 1-0 ATS this year so far but they are about to get tested as they will play Cal on Monday Night and then face Baylor to start the month of December.  The Shockers have wins over Missouri-Kansas City 109-57 and College of Charleston 81-63.  This is definitely a team that has to be watched as they have both the offense and the defense to go far this year.

The Kentucky Wildcats are #7 in the AP Poll and #4 in the Coaches Poll. They are now 3-1 SU but they are only 1-3 ATS. They are definitely not a team you want to jump on board with right now as they are struggling to beat the inflated lines that have been given to them by the oddsmakers. The Wildcats lost to the #4 team in the nation, Kansas Jayhawks in the State Farm Champions Classic on Tuesday Night.

The Florida Gators come into the season ranked #8 in the AP Poll and #7 in the Coaches Poll.  The Gators are 2-0 SU and ATS this year, covering both large double digit spreads against   The Gators wins come over Gardner-Webb and North Florida. They have a very even team and look decent on both offense and defense this year.

The North Carolina Tar Heels are #9 in both the AP and the Coaches Poll.  The Tar Heels are 2-0 SU and 1-0 ATS. They have only had one lined game this season so far this season but things are about to get tougher for the Tar Heels. They will play Stanford, Michigan, Ohio State and Wake Forest all by the end of 2017.

The Southern California Trojans are #10 in the AP Poll but are outside the top 10 in the Coaches Poll, sitting in the #11 spot. They are 2-0 SU and 1-1 ATS.  Both of their games this year have played under the posted total. The Trojans wins came over the likes of Cal-State Fullerton and North Dakota State.
