In a battle of two teams that executed the biggest NBA trade of the off-season – the Indiana Pacers will host the Oklahoma City Thunder on Wednesday night. The Pacers are tied with Milwaukee for fourth place in the Eastern Conference, as they are 16-11 on the season. Indiana has won 10 out of 14 games playing at home this season.

For the Oklahoma City Thunder – they have been the biggest disappointment in the league through the first quarter of the season. The Thunder are 9th in the Western Conference with their 12-14 record. Oklahoma City has dropped 10 out of 13 games played on the road this season. Oklahoma City is coming off a loss Monday night to the Charlotte Hornets. The Indiana Pacers are -3 over the Oklahoma City Thunder as part of the National Basketball Association slate.

Thunder Looking to Start Winning Again

The Thunder just cannot seem to find their groove. The Thunder won three straight games over the Timberwolves, Spurs and Jazz, but then losses to the Nets and Hornets, sandwiched with a win over the Grizzlies has them back 2 under .500. The Thunder are dead last in the Northwest Division, trailing Utah by ½ game.

Oklahoma City is barely scoring more than 100 points per game. The Thunder rank near the bottom of teams in the league with just over 100 points per game. Point guard Russell Westbrook is the leading scorer, with 23 points per game. Paul George is adding 20 and Carmelo Anthony is tossing in 18 per game. The bench for the Thunder has been poor with Raymond Felton and Andre Roberson leading the way.

Pacers Seeking to Stay Hot

The Indiana Pacers have been surging as he head into Christmas. The Pacers have won back to back games over the Bulls and Knicks, and have won 3 out of their last 5. The Pacers are tied with Milwaukee for third in the Central Division behind the Cavaliers and the Pistons. Indiana is looking to remain over .500 and finish there for the third straight season.

The top scorer for the Indiana Pacers have been former Thunder star Victor Oladipo. The shooting guard is scoring 24.5 points per game. Indiana has six guys scoring in double figures per game, with Bojan Bogdanovic and Myles Turner combining for nearly 29 per game. The Pacers are 6th in the league with 108 points per game, and the 5th best team in assists, with 23.4 per game.

This should be a fun game with all the drama of the guys getting traded. There is no doubt you will see a motivated Indiana Pacers team. They feel they got talked about as the short end of the stick too much, and the players they picked are pretty good.
