The Miami Heat stole Game 1 in Boston, putting the Celtics in a tough position. Now we have Game 2 ahead of us.

Before Betting on Heat vs. Celtics Game 2

Jimmy Butler had 35 points against the Celtics on Wednesday night. But the more important fact is that he had six steals and made several key shots during the final period. This was a classic Playoff Jimmy performance.

Bam Adebayo scored 20 points and was very good at controlling the glass. But the difference in this event were Miami’s guards, as four of them scored 15 points. Gabe Vincent, Max Strus, Caleb Martin, and Kyle Lowry all delivered 15 buckets each, constantly keeping a high pace that would eventually break the Celtics.

Boston had a 12-point edge in the second and third periods. We don’t quite know what happened with the Celtics in the moments when Miami started pushing hard, and that’s something Joe Mazzulla needs to figure out.

Jayson Tatum scored 30 points, while Jaylen Brown had 22. The problem with Brown was his six turnovers and only one three in six shots, plus his inability to compete with Butler, who blew him away in their direct clash. Malcolm Brogdon had 19 buckets off the bench, and Robert Williams had 14 as a starter.

The bookies set the line for this game at 215.5 points. Two of three direct contests in Boston ended above this line, and the third stopped at 215. That’s why we recommend picking Over for this matchup.
