The first round of the 2023 MLS season brings us the Los Angeles Derby a.k.a. El Trafico. The clash between LA Galaxy and LAFC is on the program on Saturday, February 25.

Before Betting on Los Angeles Galaxy vs LAFC

LAFC start their MLS Cup defense with a game against their intercity rivals, Galaxy. Defending the title is not going to be easy for Steve Cherundolo’s men for several reasons. First of all, this season, their 2022 MLS Cup hero Gareth Bale is no longer playing – the Welshman decided to retire.

On top of that, they’re also without Cristian Arango, their top scorer in 2022, who decided to move to Mexico during the offseason. LAFC did bring in a couple of players, but none of them look good enough to replace Bale and Arango.

Galaxy didn’t make too many big signings either, but they did keep the core of their team intact.

The last time these two met, LAFC won 3-2. We expect to see a lot of goals in the first El Trafico of 2023 as well. But this time, we don’t think Galaxy will lose. Instead, we think they got what it takes to start the season with a win.

Pick: Los Angeles Galaxy to win
