Their first road win of the season was picked up over the weekend, as they managed to secure a 4-1 victory in Winnipeg against the Jets. Toronto went into the final period with a 3-1 advantage, and sealed the victory with a final goal in the third. John Tavares scored twice in the win, while other efforts were recorded by Michael Bunting and David Kampf.

Meanwhile, the Golden Knights come into this game sitting second in the Pacific Division. They have won four of the six games that they have played this season, having scored 19 goals and allowing just 13. However, they will need to bounce back after suffering a second defeat of the season in their previous game.

That loss came at the hands of the Colorado Avalanche, with the reigning Stanley Cup champions running out 3-2 winners. The Vegas goals in the defeat were scored by Jonathan Marchessault and Chandler Stephenson. Meanwhile, the Leafs have won six of the eight previous games between the sides.
