The Spanish La Liga will continue in June, the executives of this competition revealed today. Several other leagues have also made certain steps towards resuming its championships.

Spanish Teams Coming Back Soon

This Monday, the Spanish Ministry of Health permitted for the clubs to go back to training, but to previously test all the players for the presence of COVID-19 virus. This comes after the measures Spanish Prime minister Pedro Sanches introduced, in order to relax the current situation in the country.

The resume of training will come one or two weeks later than the initial prognosis, but even though it is still an excellent situation having in mind that many believed that this La Liga campaign wouldn’t end at all.

When all the players receive the results, the league will give the green light to the teams to start with their training.

At the moment, Barcelona is leading the way with 58 points in 27 matches. Real Madrid is second with 56, and Sevilla third with 47. Real Sociedad has 46. There are 11 rounds until the end of the campaign, and the race for the title promises to be pretty exciting.

What is also an interesting thing and comes from Spain is the fact that Copa del Rey finalists, Athletic Bilbao and Real Sociedad, demand to play the finals without any restrictions, meaning that they want the spectators in stands. For sure, this won’t be allowed, as La Liga intends to get back the fans in stadiums no sooner than this autumn.

Bundesliga Starting at the end of May

Teams in Germany are already in training, with certain restrictions, by the way. So far, the domestic football association tested more than 1,700 players from the top two tiers of German football, and only 10 of them tested positive on COVID-19. Yet, nobody had some problems with his health in terms of severe symptoms.

Though, some teams are facing problems with the lack of discipline. Hertha Berlin suspended its star Salomon Kalou for violating the rules of behavior during the training session. The 34-year old was misbehaving, making physical contact with one of his teammates and trying to take his COVID-19 test.

Right now, the player form the Ivory Coast is suspended and won’t be participating in any of the team’s activities until further. It is expected to see Kaolu fined financially.

Italian Clubs Soon Back in Training

In the next few days, the social restrictions would be loosened for sure, and that is a signal that the player might get back to their work. The intentions of certain clubs to call up the players and begin with specific training were revealed two weeks ago. At the time, there weren’t any conditions for such a case, but not the circumstances are much different.

Serie A teams are already speculating with the date of the comeback, and there are two possible solutions. The first is June 13 and the second seven days later.

Of all the top European leagues, the most enigmatic one when talking bout the restart is the English Premier League. There is still no news about the plans for continuing the competition.
