Nate Diaz’s farewell from the UFC is against Khamzat Chimaev at the upcoming UFC 279 in T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. This is one of the biggest shows of the year, and despite what many think, it might be interesting.

Before Betting on Chimaev vs. Diaz

Khamzat is a massive underdog, and how wouldn’t he be with an 11-0 record and an impressive bio. He won 10 of his fights via finish, six by submission, and four by a KO, and only the most recent against Gilbert Burns had to go to the distance.

The Russian is a fantastic wrestler, maybe the most dominant in the UFC. His power in that aspect is unseen, but that area isn’t the only one in which Chimaev makes a difference in the ring. Extremely hard jabs and his fantastic cardio separate this guy from others.

Nate Diaz is a legend of the MMA and the UFC and one of the guys who will go down as the most credited for the development of the sport and its popularity. It’s a pity he didn’t end the contract with the UFC in a better way, but hey, that is the boy from Stockton we’re talking about here.

His 20 wins and 13 losses tell us that he has enormous experience, but three defeats in the past four events and long inactivity are negative factors here. He did make big pauses losing his best years, but that is now beyond repair.

We are sorry to say this, but there is no way for Nate to win this one. It would be a nice way for him to end the UFC stint with a triumph or even with a decision loss, but that isn’t going to happen as we expect to see Khamzat finishing this inside the distance.
