In a college basketball affair on Monday – the Texas Longhorns will play at the Phog Allen Fieldhouse against the Kansas Jayhawks. The Jayhawks won their 14th straight conference title with a win on Saturday over Texas Tech. Now, the Jayhawks are looking to win it alone, with just another win. Kansas is 23-6 on the season, and 12-4 in conference play. The Jayhawks are playing for one of the top seeds in the NCAA Tournament.

The Texas Longhorns come into the game with a 17-12 record on the season. The Longhorns were able to go to Oklahoma State and beat the Cowboys on Saturday. The Longhorns are 7-9 in Big 12 play, which is tied with Baylor and Oklahoma for 6th place. The Kansas Jayhawks are -9.5 on Monday over the Texas Longhorns.

Jayhawks Seeking to Stay Hot

The Kansas Jayhawks are on the verge of a Top 1 or 2 seed in the big dance. Kansas has won four straight games since their blowout loss at Baylor. The Jayhawks even scored 104 in a recent win over the Oklahoma Sooners. On the season, Kansas is 30th in the country, scoring more than 82.1 points per game.

Devonte Graham is going to be a great candidate for the Big 12 Player of the Year. The guard hardly ever came out of the game for the Jayhawks, and scored 17.9 points per game. The Jayhawks were pleased with the presence of their big man Udoka Azubuike as the season has gone on with 13 points and 7 rebounds per game.

Longhorns Need a Win

Shaka Smart and his Texas Longhorns know they need more wins to get into the Big Dance. The Longhorns have this game, and a home game against West Virginia remaining. The Longhorns have won two out of their last three, with their lone loss during that time coming at Kansas State.

The Longhorns are led in scoring by Dylan Osetkowski with 13.7 points per game. Texas has three guys scoring double digits per game with Mohammed Bamba and Kerwin Roach II combining for 24.7 per game. Texas is seeking their 34th trip to the NCAA Tournament. The Longhorns have been to the Final Four three times in school history.

Kansas Tops Texas

In the Big 12 – every game this season seems to be a dog fight. Shaka Smart and the Texas Longhorns are not going to come into the game scared. The Longhorns are looking to pick up a massive road win in Lawrence. When push comes to shove though – they are going to have a tough time keeping up.

Kansas wins this game at home over the Texas Longhorns. The Jayhawks continue to nail shots from the outside and take down the Longhorns.
