Jim Miller vs Alexander Hernandez is one of the most exciting matchups of UFC Fight Night 219. This is the first fight on the main card, meaning that it should start around 7 PM on Saturday, February 18, 2023.

Before Betting on Jim Miller vs Alexander Hernandez

Jim Miller is the UFC record-holder for the most wins in the history of promotion with 24 victories. The 39-year-old is 35-16-1 overall with most of his wins happening by submission (19). No surprise there as Miller is a fine wrestler who used to compete in NCAA Division I. He’s also a great grappler, the evidence being that he’s a black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.

A-10 is a veteran whose professional career is slowly coming to an end. However, this guy’s been pretty good over the last couple of years, with three wins in his last three fights (vs Donald Cerrone, Nikolas Motta, and Erick Gonzalez).

Unfortunately for him, offshore bookmakers think his winning run is going to come to an end on Saturday. It’s because Miller is taking on Alexander Hernandez who’s 13-6 overall. Although his record isn’t great, especially not since coming to the UFC – he’s 4-5 in this promotion – Hernandez does look like someone who could beat Miller.

He’s nine years younger than Miller, as well as much faster and way more agile. He’s also great with his hands, landing 4.09 significant strikes per minute. In comparison, Miller lands just 2.79.

Alexander Hernandez is the betting favorite for a reason. The chances are that he’s going to outbox Miller and get a win by decision. That’s very likely to happen unless Miller takes him down to the ground and finish him with a submission.

Hernandez’s takedown defense is 61% which isn’t bad, but we do think it’s not good enough to stop Miller. That said, we do feel as if a surprise might happen in this fight. We think Miller might win.

Pick: Jim Miller to win by submission
