The Premier League weekend kicks off on Friday, as unlikely Champions League-chasing Fulham play host to relegation-threatened Wolves. The Cottagers come into this fixture looking for three points that could draw them level with fifth-placed Newcastle United.

Before Betting On Fulham vs Wolves

It can’t be understated how good of a job Marco Silva is doing at Fulham. Following their promotion back to the Premier League last season, they were tipped up by many to be relegated this term. However, they are defying those pre-season picks, as they are an unlikely contender in the race for a Champions League spot.

The Cottagers currently sit sixth in the standings, but they could move level on points with Newcastle with a victory on Friday, which would also put them within a point of fourth-placed Tottenham. However, Fulham come into this fixture having failed to win in their previous five Premier League matches against Wolves, while they have failed to score in the last four.

Any hope that Wolves were going to sail away from the relegation fight was halted last weekend, as they were beaten at home by Bournemouth. That defeat ensures that they remain 15th in the standings, and just three points above the bottom three. However, their form remains fairly strong, as they have picked up three wins from their last five games.

Wolves also have a strong record against Fulham, as they have won three of their last five Premier League meetings against the Cottagers. The side from the Midlands were also 1-0 winners on their last trip to Craven Cottage, but they haven’t won back-to-back games against Fulham since 1962.

This is an interesting game in the Premier League on Friday evening. Fulham were fortune in their previous game to pick up a win against Brighton, but they will have to play more on the front-foot this weekend. Therefore, we could see Wolves shocking their rivals, and picking up a vital three points on the road.
