A fascinating battle at the bottom of the Premier League standings takes place on Saturday, as Leeds United travel to Goodison Park to take on Everton. Both sides will desperately be looking for maximum points, as they look to aid their survival chances.

Before Betting On Everton vs Leeds

Just one point separates Everton and Leeds coming into this busy round of Premier League fixtures. Leeds currently sit just outside the bottom three, but they could drop back into the drop zone with a defeat at Goodison Park. The Whites haven’t won in their previous five matches, and have lost three times over that period. Their latest loss was suffered at home against Manchester United.

Meanwhile, Everton weren’t able to kick on after beating Arsenal in Sean Dyche’s first match in charge, as the Toffees were poor at Anfield and were beaten 2-0. The Toffees showed very little throughout that match, and they were made to pay for making two mistakes against their local rivals.

However, Everton has a decent record against the Whites, as they have been beaten in just one of their previous ten matches at Goodison Park. Over that run, they have picked up five victories. Leeds has also won on just one occasion on their previous 15 visits to Goodison Park, with that success coming in November 2020.

The writing does appear to be on the wall for Leeds, as no side has picked up fewer wins in the Premier League since August than the Whites. However, Leeds did pick up a famous win on their previous visit to Merseyside, as they beat Liverpool in October. However, they haven’t won away from home against both Everton and Liverpool in the same season since the 1932-33 season.

Everton’s home record will be key to their chances of survival this term, and we could see them recording a second straight victory at Goodison this weekend. However, it will be a tight game, and a 1-0 scoreline could be the most likely outcome.
