Costa Rica and New Zealand close the World Cup qualifiers tonight and decide which team will be the last one to earn the spot in Qatar. The venue of the game is in Doha, at Al Rayyan Stadium.

Before Betting on Costa Rica vs New Zealand

Costa Rica barely missed qualifying directly to the World Cup, finishing fourth in the CONCACAF qualifiers, only due to goal difference. They simply didn’t have any luck in the beginning and, despite a solid finish, had to go through the playoffs.

Keylor Navas and the boys are in solid shape, having seven wins, a loss, and a draw in the last nine games. Navas is one of the biggest reasons why this team didn’t concede in six of those events.

On the other side, we have New Zealand, who was very confident in their qualifiers group that included teams from Oceania. But this unit has a poor record when facing some other units and struggles to record decent results against such rivals.

As you can see, the odds are pretty similar and there aren’t any oscillations. Costa Rica is our pick here, because they have better players, play equally against the teams who are participating at the World Cup, and also, because they have more experience.
