On Tuesday – a huge game in the Big 12 Conference will take place in Norman Oklahoma. The Kansas Jayhawks will take on the Oklahoma Sooners in a battle of Top 15 teams in the latest Associated Press poll. The Jayhawks are coming in on a five game winning streak, which featured a come from behind win over Baylor on Saturday. Kansas is 5th in the country with a 16-3 record

Lon Kruger’s Oklahoma Sooners are coming off back to back losses. Oklahoma lost at Oklahoma State in overtime on Saturday. The loss sent the Sooners to 14-4 on the season. Oklahoma has yet to lose at home this season. The Oklahoma Sooners are -2 over the Jayhawks of Kansas on Tuesday night.

Sooners Need a Win

The Oklahoma Sooners know this is a must win game. The Sooners want a chance at taking down Kansas in the Big 12, as the Jayhawks have won 13 straight conference titles. The Sooners would fall 3 games back in the conference with a loss here. The Sooners are led by Trae Young. The freshman scorer is leading the nation with more than 30 points per game.

The Sooners as a team are second in the nation in scoring. Oklahoma is scoring more than 91 points per game. Oklahoma’s four losses this season have come to Oklahoma State, Kansas State, West Virginia and Arkansas. Oklahoma will take on the Crimson Tide Alabama on the road in the Big 12/SEC challenge this Saturday.

Kansas Looking to Keep Rolling

Bill Self, the head coach of the Kansas Jayhawks is looking for his 14th straight conference title. The Jayhawks have had some bad fortunate in the NCAA Tournament, but did win a national title during this streak. Kansas has three losses on the season, all coming at home. Arizona State, Washington and Texas Tech have all beat the Jayhawks.

The Jayhawks are getting 18.1 points per game from Devante Graham. The guard is also dishing out nearly 8 assists per game for the Jayhawks. Kansas will play Texas A+M on Saturday, and then go on the road to Kansas State to end the month of January.

Kansas Wins on the Road

This has the makings of a great College Basketball game. Two teams that will be tough to beat when the NCAA Tournament arrives. There is no doubt that Trae Young is going to score, and score more. Kansas wants to make sure they do not get beat by the rest of the Sooners team. They know Young will get his point, and will take his share of shots. Kansas hopes to win this game with a mixed balance of offense.

The Jayhawks have enjoyed the front court help that Silvio DeSousa has brought, despite the low minutes thus far. The Jayhawks found out this weekend that Billy Preston would not play for the program, as he signed with an international team.
