The big game in the Premier League this week will see two of the biggest teams in England square off. Manchester City will be looking for a return to winning ways after being held by Everton, while Chelsea has picked up just a single victory in their previous six league games.

Before Betting On Chelsea vs Manchester City

By the time Manchester City get underway at Stamford Bridge, they could find themselves ten points off the pace in the Premier League. City’s recent form has been slightly underwhelming, as they have won just once in their previous three games. In fact, their biggest issues have been in home fixtures. They were beaten by Brentford before the World Cup break, while they were held by Everton in their latest league fixture.

Erling Haaland’s scored his 21st league goal of the season to give City the advantage, but the struggling Toffees levelled the scores in the second period. Still, City will come into this game confident, as they have picked up seven wins from their previous ten league fixtures against Chelsea. That includes the victories that they picked up at home and away last season against the Blues.

The pressure is already increasing on Graham Potter, as Chelsea’s strong start under his reign has evaporated. The Blues have now won just once in their previous six games, and have lost three times during that period. Potter was fuming with his team’s display in their previous fixture, as they were held to a 1-1 draw by Nottingham Forest.

Chelsea has also suffered back-to-back defeats in home fixtures against Manchester City. Only two previous sides have won three in a row at the home of the Blues.

This is a big game for both clubs, and the stakes will be huge for City and Chelsea. However, City has an excellent record at Stamford Bridge, and that is hard to ignore. We could see the reigning champions getting the win, with Kevin De Bruyne finding the net against his former side.
