There will be a huge match at Stamford Bridge this weekend for Graham Potter, as he bids to turn his Chelsea reign around. Crystal Palace will be the visitors on Sunday, as they look to inflict a fourth London derby defeat in seven on the Blues.

Before Betting On Chelsea vs Crystal Palace

When things are going against you, it can often feel like there is no end in sight. That will certainly be the mood of Graham Potter coming into this Sunday’s game against Crystal Palace. His reign at Stamford Bridge got off to an excellent start, but it has quickly fallen apart. The Blues have now picked up just two wins from their previous ten in the Premier League, and they have dropped down to tenth in the Premier League standings.

To make matters worse, a Champions League charge looks highly improbably, as the Blues currently sit ten points off the top four. Chelsea’s new signing Joao Felix was thrust straight into the starting eleven for the game on Thursday evening, but the on-loan addition was sent off early in the second half, before the Blues went on to lost 2-1.

Crystal Palace come into this London derby just three points behind Chelsea in the standings, but their recent form has been slightly disappointing. The Eagles have picked up just a single victory from their previous four league matches, which includes a 4-0 defeat in their previous fixture against Tottenham Hotspur.

Palace’s record against the Blues is also poor, as they have lost their previous ten against Chelsea, and the Eagles have conceded at least once in each of the previous 17 matches between the sides in the Premier League. London derbies have been an Achilles heel in general for Palace, as they have lost more London derbies than any other side in the Premier League this season.

Things have been going pretty miserably for Chelsea in recent months, and this is now a must-win game for Potter. It should be a tight game between the two rivals, but we expect the Blues to just about have enough to get over the line.
