Atalanta’s Fantastic Firepower

La Dea, as the fans call this team, was the most efficient team in all five top European leagues last year. By far, they were the nicest surprise of the entire Champions League edition, but wasted a perfect opportunity to reach the semifinals and make a massive sensation by eliminating PSG.

It is very important to say that the Italians continued to play in the same manner, and for example, the last nine of their matches saw over 2.5 goals. Only one didn’t see both teams scoring, and seven of those ended with four or more scores.

So, the philosophy is “offense at all cost”, and the team from Bergamo isn’t willing to change anything in it. What is also interesting is that Atalanta has just one win at home in the previous five games; with three losses and one draw (vs. Ajax in the UCL, 2-2)

La Deal will appear without several players: Caldara, Gosens, Hateboer, Romeo, and Toloi. De Roon is questionable.

The Reds Recovering From “Van Dijk Shock”

Every member of the organization from the Anfield road was stunned and shocked after hearing the news regarding Van Dijk’s injury and absence from the field. The Reds eventually made peace with that situation, and started a very good streak afterward.

Right now, they have four consecutive triumphs, in two of them not allowing a goal while scoring twice or more in the latest three contests. The offensive trio is still playing at the highest possible level, keeping its form from oscillations.

Klopp will have additional problems with Fabinho’s injury and the fact that his replacement for Van Dijk can’t play. He now has to make adjustments, which isn’t desirable against a team like Atalanta.

Apart from Fabinho, and Van Dijk, Oxlade-Chamberlain is not playing. Alcantara, Keita, Matip are all questionable, but they won’t be in the protocol according to various information.

Head to Head Matches

Atalanta and Liverpool never played before.

Prediction

Goals are in focus here, and we advise you not to chase the winner of the game, even though that might be tempting for the majority here.

Instead, try Over 1.5 HT with the odds at +100. Both Atalanta and Liverpool often see efficient first halves once playing. Those who are courageous enough should go with over 2.5 in the first HT because even though you might see it as a greedy move, it really isn’t. Particularly with these two sides who are among the most offensive-minded teams in Europe. To mention once again, avoid betting on full-time result, go for goals.
