The huge night of boxing set for Saudi Arabia on Saturday will be headlined by the WBA, WBO, IBO, IBF and The Ring heavyweight showdown between Anthony Joshua and Oleksandr Usyk. However, there is a key fight on the undercard that could have ramification for the next WBC light heavyweight contender, as Callum Smith and Mathieu Bauderlique collide.

Before Betting On Callum Smith vs Mathieu Bauderlique

Callum Smith will be looking to get back into the world title picture on Saturday after he dropped the WBA and The Ring super middleweight titles at the end of 2021. That defeat came against Canelo Alvarez, and he quickly moved to the light heavyweight division in order to get his hands on a new world title.

Smith returned to the ring in September 2021, and he was in stunning for as he beat Lenin Castillo by KO in the second round. The British star has a wealth of experience in the ring, as he has won 28 of the 29 professional fights that he has had. The only defeat came against Canelo, and the odds would suggest victory on Saturday appears to be a formality.

Mathieu Bauderlique boasted a very impressive amateur record before turning professional, which included winning the bronze medal in the light heavyweight division at the 2016 Olympics. He has fought 22 times as a professional, with his only loss coming in a first round stoppage defeat against Dragan Lepei in June 2017.

Since that defeat, he has won his previous nine fights, with five wins coming in stoppages. His latest victory was recorded against Igor Mikhalkin in September 2021, as he beat his Russian opponent via seventh round stoppage.
