Brazil has long been the favourites to win the 2022 World Cup, and they looked in excellent form in their opening fixture. However, they will come up against a more competitive rival in their second game in Group G, as they will clash with Switzerland.

Before Betting On Brazil vs Switzerland

It has been a fine start to the World Cup for both Brazil and Switzerland, and they have given themselves an excellent chance of progression through to the next round of the competition. Brazil remain the outright favourites to win the competition, as they started their campaign with a very professional 2-0 win against Serbia.

Richarlison was the standout player in that fixture, as the Brazilian number nine scored both goals. His second was a clear standout for goal of the tournament, as his scissor kick was expertly improvised. However, Brazil will come into this fixture without Neymar, who will be missing until the start of the knockout round.

Switzerland also kicked off their World Cup campaign with a victory, and they currently sit second in the standings at this early stage. A favourable result in this second fixture will give them every chance of continuing their impressive record in major tournaments.

It was more work-man-like by the Swiss in their opening fixture, as they could only edge to a 1-0 win against Cameroon. Their winning goal was scored early in the second half, as Breel Embolo scored against the country that he was born in. However, the Swiss will be aware that they will need to raise their game for this showdown.

The Swiss have held Brazil to two draws in both previous meetings, with the latest coming four years ago. However, Brazil look far too strong at this competition, and we expect them to get a second win at the World Cup on Monday. Meanwhile, a decent prop bet selection looks to come in the form of Richarlison to score at +140 with BetOnline.
