Formula 1 returns after the summer break this weekend. The first stop on the second half of the season comes in Belgium, as the Belgian Grand Prix takes place at Spa-Francorchamps. Max Verstappen holds a clear lead in the drivers’ championship standings, and he could pull further clear with another win this weekend.

Before Betting On Belgian Grand Prix

There will be questions for all teams to answer as the season resumes this weekend. Red Bull lead the way in the Constructors’ standings, while Max Verstappen leads the Drivers’ Championship. However, they have been forced to modify their car during the summer break after breaches of FIA regulations. It will be fascinating to see whether that has any impact on performance.

Ferrari has looked like the main danger throughout the season, but team orders has been a big talking point. Charles Leclerc has failed to finish on the podium in the previous two races, while the Monaco driver has won just once since victory in Australia on the third round. Carlos Sainz has finished higher than his teammate in two of the previous three races.

However, the big story to follow may be Mercedes. The seven-time reigning constructors’ championships were edging closer to the pace boasted by Ferrari and Red Bull over the final five rounds before the break, with Lewis Hamilton finishing second in the previous two races.

Verstappen won the Belgian Grand Prix last year, as he finished over a second clear of George Russell for Williams. Hamilton settled for third in a contentious race, which was the shortest in F1 history.
