The bad news is Seattle is just 2-4 through their first six outings. The good news is they are coming off their most complete performance of the season — a 77-59 victory over the Connecticut Sun that snapped a three-game skid.

The Storm led by nine points at the break and increased the advantage to 16 points in the third quarter. After Connecticut trimmed the deficit to seven early in the fourth, Zia Cooke hit a free throw, and Flau'jae Johnson knocked down a 3-pointer, pushing the lead back to 12. Seattle led by double digits the rest of the way.
Cooke guided the offense with 25 points and five rebounds on 50 percent shooting from the field. Johnson registered 17 points, seven rebounds, and five assists. Seattle's defense limited the Sun to 37 percent shooting overall and 24 percent from beyond the arc.
Following a 68-65 win against the Toronto Tempo on opening night, the Mystics have dropped two of their last three games. Their latest setback was a 92-69 loss to the Dallas Wings.
Dallas held the Mystics to single digits in the first quarter on its way to taking a 38-29 lead into the break. The Wings broke the game open in the third, outscoring their opponent 28-17, turning a competitive game into an easy victory.
Only two players reached double figures for Washington. Shakira Austin scored 12 points and collected four rebounds. Lauren Betts contributed 11 points off the bench, connecting on five of her seven shot attempts.
